Management Commitment Food Safety Policy

Food-Pak is committed to providing an on-going active approach to risk minimization, food safety and contamination control in the products produced.

We are committed to producing high quality and service preventative maintenance programs that always comply with relevant legal requirements and operate under stringent conditions of hygiene and control.  We are committed to establish continuous improvement process for all our systems.  Our compliance to our standards will be determined through effective inspections and audits conducted regularly and through independent audit annually.

The Food Safety manual has been prepared to bring together all the documents relating to the operation of our Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system, Food Fraud system and Food Defence system, to help identify hazards to food safety and their control.  The purpose of this Food Safety Manual is to define the methods and processes required to comply with the Food Management System in order to minimise the contamination potential for all products.  To have a complete system, Quality System and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are also included here.  All employees involved in food production shall receive appropriate and adequate training in food safety and handling courses. The importance of communication is acknowledged; with both internal and external communications regarding food safety addressed.  Food-Pak is committed to review regularly food safety regulatory requirements and continually improve its food safety management system.

In addition, we are committed to the Woolworths Supplier Excellence Program, Coles Food Manufacturing Supplier Requirements (CFMSR) and to the Safe Quality Food (SQF) standard.

SQF Code 8.1th edition is scoped at Sector Categories (No.17: Confectionary Manufacturing).

Everyone at Food-Pak has a shared responsibility in ensuring that food products produced at Food-Pak meet the quality as well as legislative expectations.  Personal hygiene is of primary importance to everyone at Food-Pak.  Procedures and systems set for handling and processing of all foods and food related materials are to be followed at all times.

Everyone is also expected to act in a safe and considerate manner without endangering oneself, one’s mates, the public and the environment.
